It All Started with Transport of One Automobile

  In 1984, Hiroshi Utsumi
(now Transindo Japan president),Then working for a French forwarder, was asked to transport one Japanese car to the Japanese Embassy in Laos. In those days, transport to Laos, a landlocked country in Indochina, was extremely difficult. After about a month of survey, Utsumi succeeded in the door-to-door transport of the car. This experience caused him to take a keen interest in Indochina. Three years later, he founded an independent company, Transindo Japan.
